Re: RSAT 1 oder RSAT 2, gibt es Unterschiede?
17 Dez. 2022 07:44 - 17 Dez. 2022 07:57Anyway, I already have them here, so at the moment no urge to change them, or only when I will be running out of telemetry places...
Next step is to choose which "special programming" I will take on this project, an MB339 form Skymaster. It is already 8 Yrs old, but in super condition still.
Maybe I can find a better solution to a selectable mixer I use now: As the model features a ventral speed brake (so on its belly), I need a switch to mix it when selecting full flaps, because I want to be able to select full flaps ONLY, let's say in the event I have to make a gear UP landing. BTW, the speed brake makes a nice whistling sound when extended!
Others are: aileron droop at half flap and aileron UP at full flap. Separately trimmable nose gear steering. (as both mixers already in use on the old set)
In Jet Power 3/2022 I read about an automatic brake application after selecting gear UP (Philip Baum contrib), I might use that one as well.
AND find a solution for the large pneumatically operated nose gear door which keeps giving me headaches.
And, and, and...

18 Dez. 2022 11:34 - 18 Dez. 2022 11:37maybe you can use "Flugphasen" (funny, I do not know the English expression
Put the nose gear on a separate function and assign the same stick (rudder). Then you can setup that function individually from the rudder. Using a logical switch lets you delay the steering while retracting (just one input from your nose gear function in the logical switch with a delay - see the video from Ingmar Grote (IG-Modellbau here in the forum) on youtube to that topic).
...your German is good - wish I could speak Dutch in that quality
...and: Very nice plane your MB339 from Skymaster!
Happy christmas days!

Re: RSAT 1 oder RSAT 2, gibt es Unterschiede?
18 Dez. 2022 19:16I use already on another plane (350cm Swiss Trainer tug): the Flight Mode option to program my flaps (plus ailerons, elev corr, etc). Before, on my old Weatronic I used a normal mixer for this, that was OK too. As the "Swiss" has very little pitch reaction to flap settings.
Maybe I still keep the air brake (correct spelling
But I might test it with yet another Flight Mode, instead of the mixer.
Already for Years I use on all models nose, OR tail wheel steering on a different "channel", That is, I use the rudder stick as the signal of course, but I use for trim on the nose/tail wheel the P6 lever to adjust (with increased trim range), works very well. So the rudder and nose wheel each have different trimmers.
On my Swiss I have the mixer even disarmed by the pressure altitude sensor, so at 50m height or so, the nose wheel steering does not follow the rudder commands anymore. But i am honest, I need to check it with an on board camera to see if that works!!!!
The idea of a delay on the nose gear steering after extension I already have "stolen" for my HK King Twin, I am flying now for a few months. I have tested more peculiar "mixers" on that model, like asymmetrical power when steering with rudder during taxy (aka when the gear is down), really nice feature!
And I changed all my models with powerful e-engines with the "extra safe" power ON/OFF switch.

Re: RSAT 1 oder RSAT 2, gibt es Unterschiede?
19 Dez. 2022 06:37 - 19 Dez. 2022 08:47so that you do not necessarily have to misuse the barometric altitude sensor for the nose wheel control for locking purposes, here is a suggestion from Ingmar's Quicky's #5. Maybe that's something for you. Also there are more such Quicky's from Ingmar with further suggestions which could help you with the one or other problem of the transmitter programming. Anyway, many roads lead to the Netherlands
Ingmar Quicky #5
Hallo Richard,
