User Interface -> Userdefined Function Curves
06 Aug. 2013 22:12
Hello Jeti Team,
I have just an idea for the usability of the function curves, which can be helpfull.
Today we have 4 basic funktion curves (3-points, 5-points, 7-points, 9-points). All the others are variations of the basic ones.
What I missed was a user defined curve with dynamic number of set points, but with a maximum e.g. of 9 points.
The position of the points will be set pushing the 3D-Control at a stick position. This means the user is moving the stick, e.g. throttle stick to a certain position and presses the 3d-control. Now the software will create the setpoint on the curve at the current position. The user can now move the set point up and down while rotating the 3d-control. Additional set-points on the curve will be created in the same way.
Selecting a point on the function curve can be proceeded on the same way. Selecting the point by moving the stick to the position of the setpoint, selecting it with the 3d-control and modifying it while rotating the 3d-control or using the F1-F4 buttons.
It is just an idea, which came in my mind after I was setting a 5 point function curve and needed 1 point more. I selected then the 7-point curve to get the additional point, but then the complete curve was reset and the programming started from scretch.
Maybe this can added to the DC16/DS16 firmware.
Thanks a lot and greetings
Joerg

I fully agree -
and this is a "Standard Feature" in some older transmitters - like the Graupner MX-24s and as a positive additional aspect - you always see the exact point of the curve as the stick is exact in the position you want to change the curve.
